Reading City Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Jack Thomson-Wheeler. An experienced player who can play in both Defence and Midfield, helping to add that strength in depth to the squad.
Jack is probably best known for being part of near-neighours Binfield FC’s squad that reached the final of the FA Vase during the 2020/21 Season.
Prior to the 2021/22 Season we would regularly compete against Binfield in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division so our new arrival is no stranger to the Cityzens. As the club looks to build on the record-breaking performances from last season, we are thrilled to have a player of Jack’s calibre and experience come onboard.
He has also played for Bedfont Football Club, having joined them during the 2022/23 season.
Following Jack putting pen-to-paper we spoke to First Team Manager Simon Johnson regarding his second addition of the summer and here’s what he had to say:
“Jack is not only an excellent footballer who has had great success at this level previously, he is also an excellent character off the pitch. He epitomises everything we look for in our players and will make an excellent addition to an already talented squad. He’s a versatile player who can play both at the back and in midfield.
